A Family owned FreeHouse situated on the D106 at Le Petit Celland, 50370, between Brecey and Avranches.

Originally a French Bar,Forge and Petrol Station closed around 15 years ago. The proprietor Jackie Griggs, reopened it in 2002, having emigrated with her family to Normandy from Hampshire that year.

The premises and facilities have since been developed to meet the demands of both locals and visitors. It is now an established Pub /Restaurant, popular with both French and English local residents and visitors from many countries in Europe and beyond.

La Forge, offers a wide range of British  (Guinness – Spitfire – Old Speckled Hen & John Smiths Extra Smooth) and European beers (Chimay Blue ) and wines (plus a few from other parts of the world), complemented by a variety of fast meals from a menu formulated in response to specific requests and suggestions from its cosmopolitan clientele.

Most Sunday afternoons you will find a variety of musicians having a jam session. This is open to all. We have guitars, amps, PA, mics and a Drum kit on site.

A beer garden and children’s play area have been installed and the old Forge area is fitted out as a games room with a Pool Table, Table Football, Air Hockey and Pinball Machine. Canal / Motorised Satellite Television with Live coverage of major sporting events (Premiership Football-Rugby) is also availble in the bar and in the games room, which can also be booked for private functions.
