Quiz Nights

Quiz Nights are run on a Thursday evening (middle of the Month) from 2000Hrs and normally last 2-3 Hours, with a snack break. An entry fee of 5 Euros per person covers cost of food and raffle prizes.
Next Quiz in April /May 2008. Date To Be Advised.

 

La Forge Quiz Nights normally consist of 8 Rounds:
¨        Intro. (10 Questions)
¨        Music Round. (19 Tracks 31 points available)
¨        History. (10 Questions)
¨        Sport (10 Questions)
¨        A Day in History. (10 Questions)
¨        Geography & Travel (10 Questions)
¨        General Knowledge (10 Questions)
¨        Connections. (5 Questions – 10 points available)

Rules:

Each team has a Joker which may be played during any one of the categories 1 to 8 – this will double your score on that particular round. YOU MUST inform the Quizmaster of your intention to play your Joker PRIOR to the commencement of the relevant category round and ensure that the marking Team are aware that you had played your Joker and answer paper accordingly.  You can only play your Joker once and it is advisable to make your nomination as soon as possible.
There will be Bonus Points awarded for the most original team name. The Music Round consists of a selection of music clips – each clip will be played once for you to identify so please concentrate.
 
Please enter your answers in the appropriate space on the answer form provided in this booklet ensuring that your team number and name are on each page prior to it being sent for marking.  Remember your Joker Section must be Highlighted to the marking Team.
Ø       The Quizmaster’s decision is final (even if you completely disagree with him & He is wrong!).
Ø       No asking for assistance from anyone outside your team (this includes phone calls / text messages or the internet).
Ø        Absolutely no cheating (i.e. reading other team’s answers).
Ø       No dictionaries or reference books are allowed (its all been tried before).
